Betting this new girl was so touched by their 5-second conversation that she suddenly decided our MC was her destined person. She was struggling and Shun's words "saved her" or something, so she kept the candy as a symbol to remember that moment. I'll put 5 on it. Of course, this also might mean Shun will somehow not get her feelings across before then. We'll see if I'm close at all.

So, as usual, it went the standard way. This one though felt extra awkward. She blurts out her confession, and that moment doesn't have the same impact it should because we're instead focused on this new woman. Then, this woman says they're dating doesn't count for some reason, and she's actively trying to break them up based on one interaction? The backstory is incoming too, I'd bet.

Yeah the whole flow is weird as fudge, the confession is basically swept away immediately and the other girl broke the speedrun record for a "couple to triangle" situation

Like, you have to give me a very good reason i should care about this random character. She could have stay what she was in the chapter she appear, a mob but why decide for her to be a rival out of the blue ? They talked like 10/15s and Shun just helped her once. It's one of the worst rival introduction i ever seen.

In her dubious defense, she might have a somewhat more admirable intention than the one that she's explicitly stated. If she recognizes that Shun just blurted out her confession due to the stress of the situation, it's possible that she believes that keeping up that pressure will push Shun and Natsuki closer together, rather than pulling them apart.

I am at least willing to wait and see what happens.
