It's one of the worst rival introduction i ever seen.
At least it's not the worst! Flashbacks to Anemone in Heat
But holy shit its a close second place. Had to go back to chapter 11 to find this character's introduction where she had like one page where we saw her walking away after Shun helped her and her holding a candy Shun gave her. But oh my god the audacity of this bitch. She says she fell in love at first sight, ignores that Shun didn't even recognize her instantly, claims the relationship of girlfriends is "bound to be fragile" despite wanting the same thing, claims that because Shun blurted it out she hasn't properly sorted out her feelings so certainly she will instead realize she's in love with her and not Natsuki who she was clearly waiting to give a gift to.

I so absolutely hate when two characters are together, or getting together, and some rando comes out of nowhere, and declares that actually one of the two is gonna love them instead despite the lack of any connection at all. Like who does the author think likes these developments? Stop being cowardly author you don't need to stoop to this level to continue the story because you can't think of realistic drama developments that come with starting a relationship.

there’s 24 chapters on here but it’s not all translated. It also isn’t a finished series but it’s definitely feels like it’s going slow.

I do like this story tho of course the drama is annoying. It’s enjoying to see the main characters developed and grow their bond. Seems like side characters are being more active to finding romance.

Hopefully someone will translate the rest and the author release more chapters.

It’s a good read. Does remind me of other stories that are similar but still a good read.

I'm with Hinata: who the hell are you? Have we actually seen her before?

I'll stick around but if this has now become some rando trying to break up a couple who've put in the work to be together then I may not be around for long. Still, thanks for translating. Hope it stays good enough to be worth your continued efforts.

This is so cringe, let them cook. :smugnako:
I hope its just a short arc to bait the readers where she just tells her to fuck off.

Yup, yet again, another unnecessary drama arc has started, I knew something like this would happen 🤦‍♂️

LESBIANS ARE SICK OF STRAIGHT SHIT CLICHES RAAAAHHHH. It's just such a stupid way of padding length because WE KNOW how it's gonna end and it has been done to death.

I mean, I guess she did actually confess so it's better than the other cliche trope where 3rd wheel confesses to Shun and Natsuki somehow misinterprets Shun as accepting it leading to dumb shenanigans based entirely off of Japanese wordplay.

But not by much.

You know, something I’ve always wondered is what’s the reaction to shit like this from Japanese fans? Because like, it just keeps happening. Do they really like this crap that much over there or are the authors just weird?
There's two camps, really. Same as anywhere else.

Some fans love the tropes. They find comfort in knowing what is happening the story, how it will play out, and what they mean. The conflict is stress-free because you can damn near set a clock by how predictably it will play out. Others get tired of reading the same stuff over and over and over and over again. It's easy and safe for the authors and publishers. Enough people enjoy it and enough of the others will read it anyway that it incentivizes everyone to take the safe route. Editors will push it because they know it works.

In my opinion, we're worse off for it and get less interesting stories. Sure, there's nothing new under the sun when it comes to storytelling, but at least personally, I want as much variety as I can get.
