One time I was eating ice cream out on the back deck with my family. I leaned too far back while my chair wasn't positioned properly, and despite 'falling' out of my chair I was able to manage my fall to the point I neither hurt myself nor dropped my bowl.

All that to say the human body can balance and contort itself in impressive ways. However I can fully understand an artist not wanting to deal with the messy anatomy of two bodies rolling and stumbling. Never mind making the art any kind of comprehensible.
