@Acolytus Dude, did you read the Opening Chapter before??? It says that "Lets lessen the line" on beforehand which is they didnt meant to not using bubblewords, instead they want us as reader try to understand what is the actual chapterline before bubble words added 1st.

If they are using MTL, I agree with you, but you are really SHORTSIGHTED on actual condition.

Oh. I see it now, but that's really dumb for one reason. First being the fact that the other puppy looked like Kogarashi for no reason. There were throwing puppy and Hyodo charms, not Kogarashi charms. Second being the fact that Kogarashi is closest to the bridge railing and then switches places with Hyodo for no reason after being hit by the charms.

An admirable attempt by the author, but they did a poor job with this chapter.

Actually if you look at the bridge closely, they never switch places. The camera perspective just switches to the other side of the bridge.

@osakanon I can see where I got things confused. I thought the median on the bridge was the curb for a walkway on the left side of the bridge. I've never seen something like that on a bridge before. I couldn't see it in the wide shot because the scan is too poor. It just looked like more impact markers. I thought they were walking on the other side of the bridge than they actually are. If the artist had included a little bit of the guardrail on the right side of the panel on page 3 I think it would have been more clear. Still doesn't explain why Hyodo turned into Kogarashi pup.

edit: Though there's some really confusing swapping going on in pages 4 and 5 when the eagle comes out of the woods with the traditional building. K and H are nearly to the shore with the traditional building where the girls are playing when they get poofed. Then the eagle picks them up and drops K off the side and he swims to shore. Suddenly the traditional building is on the other side of the bridge exactly where the modern building should be if the eagle dropped him off the side they were closest to.

Based on the positioning, Kogarashi was the Sharp-eared one. What confused me was how it happened. I'm too stupid to understand Koyuzu's explanation (getting hit by 2 leaves) and if it was the 2 leaves thing, the panels on Page 3 could've done a better job of highlighting the presence of 2 leaves specifically.
