My story was that i used to go to a place where they taught robotics using lego's (just google it) and i had been there for some time, our teacher told us that there would be a state tournament and the winners of that tournament would go to the national tournament to see who would win in a robotics competition, this was relatively big because the winners would go to the US and visit several tech companies. Me and my team prepared ourselves to win and be able to go to the national tournament, but we made a critical mistake and confused cables that lead us to not being able to complete the task we were asigned, so we got last place. I was pretty frustrated because if we had noticed it sooner, we would have been able to complete it pretty fast. But some days later, my mom received a call from my teacher, asking her if i could go participate as part of the winning team because one of its members wouldn't be able to go, we said yes and i went to the capital to participate, and we won 3rd place, it felt surreal, i never expected to win, honestly, even less after failing the state tournament. I went to the US, returned with a bunch of souveneirs, got my parents addicted to netflix, and felt so happy.
It was too good to be true, there had been too many coincidences, one of the winning team's members couldn't go, my teacher called my mom first before anyone else, i was able to go, and we won. I don't think i'll ever peak like this again.
