I did think that was likely given how rushed the end was, but it's not horribly sad - it'd be nice to see lots more sex them continue to develop their relationship, but they've managed to sort out the main issues . . .

I have to admit, though, I've been eyeing that "adaptation" tag for ages and wondering what it's adapted from . . .

Interestingly, I translated Chapter 17 for the previous scanlation group in the beginning of August, but unfortunately that still hasn't made it to a release. I can't say anything for how chapter 16 was translated, but I can say that for ch 17 I rarely used machine translation and never copied directly from a machine translator, however my translation was, in my opinion, quite rough. Without significant editing I'm sure it would come off as robotic.

I was supposed to have 18 out last week. Unfortunately though, Adobe decided to start war with me and I got a bit busy with university.
I'll try to have the chapter out by Monday or smth. Hopefully.
Also there's no 19 -- The series ends at 18. The rest of volume 3 are just extras. I'll do those as well later and post them separately.

Did she face any consequences in the original LN though? I don't really think this was axed, 7 chapters of light novel were adapted to 18 of manga.

I've always been curious about this, but how do people know a series was axed instead of just ending on its own? Is there some data base or updated list of manga getting pulled or shut down that I'm not aware of? It always feels like any manga that doesn't run for 5+ volumes (at least from what I've seen in the yuri sector) immediately gets labeled as "cancelled" or "axed" in the comments once it is over, regardless of how fitting or natural its ending is.

i'm not an authority on this, but it is common practice for some publication magazines to give their mangaka some kind of "trial period" that's 3 volumes long. shounen jump does that. if a manga's popularity is dead on arrival, it gets axed and has to wrap it up in vol3. it's generally safe to assume a manga with uneven pacing and neglected plot threads that only has 3 volumes is a manga that got axed-- past that, it's more or less baseless assumption

Hmm, I see. And do these sorts of series get their own physical release, or are they just relegated to the magazine issues? Because I do have several manga series that are not only 3 volumes long (some as little as a single book), but also got official English translations.
