He's entitled to his own opinion, and you to your own. Attacking his character/opinions is simply a non-starter for a productive discussion. You can't honestly disagree with all of his opinions/statements, as he does make good points - even if it goes against your opinions. And if you don't like what someone says and have nothing constructive to add, it's probably better to ignore it instead of ruminate over it.

The best you can probably do is periodically post positive comments/encourage discussion among others until the comment you dislike is buried.

With that being said... I will say that I, for one, enjoy "masturbatory GL crap" like this.
