there's literally only 7 chapters translated and idk what the other future chapters contain. how about answering what i asked instead of changing the topic?
uh no you didn't. i guess the answer is that this series is bait lmao. 130 chapters and you can't even say one thing on why this is GL.
yeah, i sure do love a good GL where one of the girls keep making out with the guy!!! not like there's actual straight and het mangas that do this already though. not to mention it's literally easy to bait readers into GL/yuri only to go for the "they're just really close friends and one girl ends up married with the dude with kids" ending
but i guess a lot of Yuri readers don't actually care for any two girls to get together and would rather have subtext, or in this case: blush from afar and admire the other girl but never be romantically involved with her

The series has a weekly update schedule, so 130 chapters here are the equivalent of about 40 chapters of a monthly series. Nothing too crazy.
Almost nobody here (except maybe the scanlator) have actually read far enough ahead to give you spoilers. The series is also still ongoing, so nobody can know the exact endgame yet. But the genre is obvious from contextual clues:
The title, which in combination with the premise also seems to be in conversation with Hibike Euphonium
The creator's social media: e.g. a short comic from earlier this month explaining the boy/girl couple is only featured on the thumbnail to catch new readers for a week (while some earlier episodes are free) and that "the fact that it's a yuri manga has not changed, please don't worry" (Twitter)
There's also plenty of information in just the translated chapters to make predictions about the genre.
Aikawa notes that her relationship with the boy is on a time limit *
The visuals depict the het kisses in a way that isn't very romantic
Aikawa and Katagiri are obviously drawn to each other, but their various insecurities prevent them from closing the distance just yet. This is an essential trope of the romance genre (the "No Way").
* The aforementioned comic also refers to them as
ex-girlfriend and ex-boyfriend
I understand that a lot of people are worried about being "baited", but the anxiety of any reader about the lack of a satisfying ending does not justify removing a genre tag. We don't wait for ongoing series of other genres to end until applying genre tags, so it doesn't make sense to follow this logic with yuri series either.
thank you for actually replying and providing information with additional sources.
however still didn't quell my "yuri bait" senses. mentioning hibike Euphonium, the biggest yuri bait of all, is a red flag.
the thumbnails with just two girls are a staple for hetero/yuri bait manga. so those examples doesn't really mean much to me.
the mangaka BAITING HETEROS is actually funny and hilarious. it has to be the first I've heard of it, it seems so ludicrous. why go through all that just to ensure the story is yuri.
unfortunate that the translations will not likely catch up for years if it has over 130 chapters (rare for a yuri manga that will actually end with the two girls romantically involved until the end).
