An accidental confession only five chapters in. This is either a very short series, or this is the volume 1 cliffhanger, or the set up to it if there’s still another chapter or two. It’s not a hard rule that all yuri ends with a confession or get together.

What if next chapter we get Fumi dying and coming back with the introduction of a second Shinigami to rival (and date) Polero having himejoshi wars over who tops and whatnot (until the two magical otakus kiss)????????

If the Yuri is true they'll have their moment where they kiss, if you treat every moment like "oh well we may never have another chance" it shows you lack faith in the Yuri, the faith necessary to believe they'll figure things out on their own, if they can't figure it out on their own then it's likely the Yuri was never meant to be...
You see why your involvement should be MINIMAL now??
