I agree. Indulging a patient's psychosis is one of the cruelest things you can do. People should stop doing that. The more you indulge in it the deeper the psychosis grows until the patient reaches a point of no return and no amount of behavioral therapy will teach them to love themselves for who they are. They reach a point of sunken cost where admitting the truth becomes too painful for them to handle and they have to escape deeper and deeper into an ever-more-fragile delusion as a coping mechanism until it eventually breaks. It's a hideously cruel abusive practice. More damaging than thalidomide ever was.

But hey, it's also profitable as fuck, so it's not like the medical-industrial complex will get rid of it anytime soon. Doubly so when there's so many dipshits out there that got tricked into believing all the big corpos supporting it have motivations beyond profit.

Personally, I like gender bender stories, but hate transgender themes like politics and untreated mental health issues.

As someone who is trans, I can relate to a certain point. It does get tiring in the story of them saying they can't be a girl because of genitals when it can just be "I am a girl that just has a dick" which is funny how hentai is often more expressive in these types of politics. (personally, I don't think gender should be politics. you do you people. its your own life). I get confused about certain genders but shrug it off since the world is basically in chaos and got shit I need to worry about in my own life

Wanting to be a character or to experience something new is not the same as deeply wishing or thinking you are a certain way. It is entirely normal for anyone to have feelings of wanting to be X person in Y situation. he made one comment he didn't give us his life story or his deepest thoughts.

Wasn't the entire latter half of the first chapter about how disappointed he was to still be a guy? I'm not a trans, so I feel comfortable saying I'd be pretty glad to still have my penis. So I'm thinking that the reverse would be true.
On related note, I always find it odd how people act like Japan somehow doesn't also have LGBTQ+ people or literature. They deal with it differently than we do in the US at least, but acting like they're nonexistent is ignorant at best. Like, if you hate that stuff, that's fine (not really, but whatever) but be accurate about it at least. I can excuse bigotry, but I draw the line at ignorance!
