Depending on how Kyouko did it, it may have started off as a kiss. Still kinda shocked that Namori-sensei went there

It kills me how Ayano doesn't know that she and Kyouko are dating and have been for a long time. In addition to a couple of nameless dates, we have follow-up movie dates and some very real near-misses. Kyouko loves Yui the most, no doubt, but Ayano is already for all intents and purposes her girlfriend. The love munches here are not only fun, they mark her territory, and Ayano unconsciously accepts that. She didn't say "Stop" but "Not yet", which was probably the tipping point for Chitose.
