Hm, an ex pianist, interesting (maybe i just live in an 'uncultured' state/not among the richer/upper class ppl, but even if you're passionate about piano i can't imagine there being that many opportunities to be a 'pro' at it (other than being invited to like play recordings for games or backing , or even going viral on YT or so), let alone there being competitions where you'd win awards (despite the stereotypes of asian parents forcing instruments on their kids but parents are too cheap for that tho i imagine most parents would still encourage some ppl to be doctors or more stable jobs, unless they also force the kids to busk for money on the streets too XD)

You know, come to think of it, I feel like in the states (at least my region on the west coast) we don't really have a lot of gaps between houses like this. More often it's either a shared fence, or if theres room to walk, a full on alleyway. But it does feel like it would have a basement-like eeriness to them. I can just imagine being a kid, terrified I'd see 'something' move through that space.

This chapter has a mood I really like. This manga hits a very.... putrid feeling. Humid, you know?
