most ghosts in this manga kill you by both "scaring" you to death and dragging you into the world of the dead. stronger ones, like the monkey, can "possess" people who interact with them, killing them cia more indirect methods such as driving them to suicide. someone who doesnt have a physiological fear response and knows how to exit and enter the world of the dead at will via interacting with ghosts, like our mc, is fine. she's also savvier than the average person and avoids engaging with more malignant ghosts in ways that could cause you to be possessed, ie. talking to them, trying to exorcise them, etc. despite this she has been possessed, by the embodiment of death itself, which is slowly eating away at her flesh and causing her to waste away- hence her investment in unraveling the mystery of momokawa. an unexpected bonus of this possession, however, is driving away otherwise murderous ghostsOkay, come on.
NOBODY noticed the standing corpse, out in broad daylight, that's clearly there for more than a few hours? I know it's a relatively abandoned street, but seriously, now.
It's a...Cool concept for a ghost, but at least have it make sense.
P.S: it's still not clear why the 'brave'-MC does not die by interacting with ghosts, but literally everyone does the moment they touch them. Just because she's "not scared"? That guy didn't seemed all too scared either.
Eh. I hope the author has the decency to touch upon it, without turning her into a Naruto of some kind (is from a lineage of shrine-nuns or whatever, has "holy blood", what have you.)
