The way I see it most of the exorcists could be hacks and it would still work as long as a) some of them are for real and b) the effect of exorcisms/cleansings is at least a little bit cumulative.

Over time that'd be a ridiculous amount of cleansing.

From the end of the chapter she have seen a white ghost monkey that stare at her, also the fmc got the skull ghost attached to her according to the tenant from earlier, also the man from the publishing is way too curious as well, might be those trio will uncover the dark secrets behind it all
