Not much to say about this chapter - from a LN reader's point of view - other than the artist is pretty skilled at drawing monsters even if the humans look atrocious in recent chapters. This chapter covers chapters 67, 68, and half of 69 in the Light Novel if anyone is curious.

Tzar, having heard the voice he had come to be familiar with over the past few days, turned one of his heads around.


In response to Asley’s flabbergasted reaction and absolutely loud whisper, Tzar simply said in his usual tone, “It is quite effective as a threat against lower-ranked monsters,” before turning back around. Now producing a faint smile, Asley also turned around and started casting recovery magic to heal the Fal Braves.

I presume this big battle is something that hasn't happened in a long while or else they couldn't have survived this long without further help. And a big battle is happening now because the monsters are probably being directed by someone or something to attack, this is no ordinary everyday encounter with monsters who happen to be roaming in the area. Gotta find out who's behind it.

You're right. It's a detail that's been kinda glossed over in the manga, but the monster attacks have been becoming more frequent as of that point in the story. Things were kind of slow going after Asley left, but then a handful of years later, the monsters started returning in larger numbers than ever.
