It's a nice short read. It seems heavy but don't worry, it IS NOT heavy. You won't be mind-screwed.

Very endearing story that is the perfect length. Just enough drama and twists to keep things interesting but no terrible surprises or bad feelings in the end.

It isn't real yuri without at least one classic trope!

As soon as it's mentioned that a class has P.E., it's only a matter of time until somebody gets nailed in the head by a soccer ball or basketball!

A very well written short story about processing and coping with previous trauma and taking the first steps in accepting both the trauma and the person you become.

The dynamic between Ena and Mishio works very well, and while it definitely does move rather fast in the beginning, their relationship is very cute and very endearing.

The one gripe that I had was the way that Mishio’s backstory is presented is rather rushed given the shortness of this story, but it clearly provides an easily interpretable understanding behind her trauma and why the relationship between Mishio and Ena progresses the way it does.

The drama (while low in amount) is presented well enough that it doesn’t come off as forced or arbitrary. It’s inclusion compounds the reinforcement of feelings between the two characters in a fairly decent and agreeable way.

Mishio reveals that in her previous school, she became attached to a teacher for accepting her as a lesbian. The teacher wasn’t a lesbian herself, and she had ended up pregnant with her husband. This causes Mishio to feel abandoned and likely caused her to develop abandonment anxiety (though it isn’t explicitly stated that she suffers from this.) Because Ena is sticking with her and accepting Mishio for who she is, she’s able to begin to accept things and begin to move forward with Ena.

All in all, this was an INSANELY good short yuri story about trauma, acceptance, and moving forward. The main characters have just enough character to them despite the limited chapters that it’s easy to root for them. Easily one of the best short stories available, though rather tragic that its only 9 chapters . A solid 10/10, I highly recommend you give this a shot. It may come off as heavy, and to an extent, it is. But the focus isn’t on the heavy-ness but the relationship between the two FMC’s and how they interact and accept one another.

(Yes, I might be a bit biased because I really like yuri but its still very good nonetheless.)
