There are a few different views on the twitter comments of this chapter. Here's the one the author replied to, which I think points towards where things are going to go:

-The thread of Miharu-san's emotions seems so tense as if it's going to snap at any moment, it's made me end up feeling anxious too...
-Prepare, for, impact

Aside from this, the gist is that most of the commenters don't think Miharu's being honest with herself, that she's intentionally giving her own feelings up for the sake of her friends. We will see I guess. I don't usually read the comments there but at least on that chapter there wasn't anybody commenting about the story on a meta level.
