Ideally people who break up stay as friends and support each other. Realistically, giving your ex a gift with a 100k yen tag gives a message of you're still hoping for being more than friends.
Also saying that your ex was taller, richer and had a good personality...

well, they did break up for a reason. if not him not being socially aware/so rich to the point that he's used to spending that much on a regular friend but yeah. imagine if it ended up being a coworker he knows but that'd be a bit too cliche but maybe theyll both end up doing a couples counseling session with that therapist chara
