Oshiko is an insecure people-pleaser. She "loves" others so she acts in a bubbly way in order to make people like her. However, this makes her worry that people only like her "fake" up-beat personality and not her "real" self. She is scared that Nozomi (or anyone really) won't accept her for who she is and thus would mean she'd end up alone (which is something she is extremely afraid of).My simple mind doesn't get it. What is she complaining about?
I think you could justify something like "I won't have anywhere to turn" or "I won't have anywhere I belong." Or if you wanted to get playful: "I'll be on my own with no direction home"/"I'll be destination unknown." Anyway, seems like a nice turn of phrase in Japanese. As a small note, at the end she specifically uses the word 居場所, which means something like 'the place where you belong'. I wanted to clarify this since my translation isn't quite as explicit.
Y'know, this is the kind of things that gets discussed when you're in therapy. Not in bathrobes going full commando though.
This really could have been done at his office, lol
My only problem is that this is kinda unnecessary and sudden, Nozaki isn't all super and bubbly either, nor is Miharu, so her whole fake bubbly but insecure seems like cheap forced drama.Oshiko is an insecure people-pleaser. How is this "forced drama"? Oshiko's insecurities about love have been established as soon as she first talked abour her flat. She's an extremely clingy person, which is proven by her buying an apartment for her partner while their relationship wasn't stable. My only problem is that this is kinda unnecessary and sudden, Nozaki isn't all super and bubbly either, nor is Miharu, so her whole fake bubbly but insecure seems like cheap forced drama.
An approach like she was like this (It was shown she was a bubbly kid) but it got to much because of a cope mechanism due to her parents favouritism for her brother and she struggles to not take it too far would be almost the same premise but without all this "Oh no! They can't see the real me, nobody likes poor gloomy ol me!".
Nobody has only one real self, we all adapt to better interact with peoples/situations.

In reality? None, i'd reckon. Going into a shopping center or a spa right before therapy might affect the mindfulness necessary for effective therapy. Not to mention the rent for the space would be ridiculous.I mean sexual implications aside, i wonder how many therapists have offices in a large shopping center that might have a hot spring/massage parlor/sauna as a way for someone to relax before a session
Lol yeah I was thinking of this massage WEBTOON when MC got more popular , not too fanservice but is fantasy /regression in a way to where his massage cured ppl in a coma and dementia but yeah different vibesIn reality?
