Oshiko is an insecure people-pleaser. She "loves" others so she acts in a bubbly way in order to make people like her. However, this makes her worry that people only like her "fake" up-beat personality and not her "real" self. She is scared that Nozomi (or anyone really) won't accept her for who she is and thus would mean she'd end up alone (which is something she is extremely afraid of).

I think you could justify something like "I won't have anywhere to turn" or "I won't have anywhere I belong." Or if you wanted to get playful: "I'll be on my own with no direction home"/"I'll be destination unknown." Anyway, seems like a nice turn of phrase in Japanese.

I think what the author's going for is "Oshiko is so repressed Freud-san had to lure her out with the ruse of a booty call." I didn't say it was a good plot point...

They can't see the real me, nobody likes poor gloomy ol me!".
Nobody has only one real self, we all adapt to better interact with peoples/situations.

How is this "forced drama"? Oshiko's insecurities about love have been established as soon as she first talked abour her flat. She's an extremely clingy person, which is proven by her buying an apartment for her partner while their relationship wasn't stable.

In reality? None, i'd reckon. Going into a shopping center or a spa right before therapy might affect the mindfulness necessary for effective therapy. Not to mention the rent for the space would be ridiculous.

Lol yeah I was thinking of this massage WEBTOON when MC got more popular , not too fanservice but is fantasy /regression in a way to where his massage cured ppl in a coma and dementia but yeah different vibes

Tho on a smaller scale I imagine someone being like prepping incense or some kinda (non H) hypnosis
