i wonder how much older he is compared to miharu , hard to tell by the art style but imagine if it was like a 15 year gap versus like 5

maybe it's b/c what the 'audience' wants but i do half expect them to break up with their respective partners and then get together with each other after the growing pains/learning from their last relationships and communicating
