Now the one thing I hate most in isekais is a damn hero. They always blabber the same lines perform same actions in near identical plots. They build a harem with no effort whatsoever, I don't even understand how dumb the girls are to fall for a cringy guy whom they nothing of but just the reason that he's a hero leaving your ever caring friend whom you've known for a long time. Damn these isekais.

I mostly agree, with exception specifically meant for this manga: the MC doesn't seem like a caring friend. The hero saved the girl 3 years earlier, and instead of manning-up once the MC realized there was competition for her affection, the MC became more self-centered.

I hope his personality changes and this journey makes him a better person deserving of the affection he desires.

if a hero is that easy to kill then he would have died anyway before sealing the gate our protagonist just took care of him thou he did kind of deserver first he was a ass to get protagonist and then he actually wanted to steal his roast pork after having the cute girl offer to cook for him so to recap the hero is

-Weak(what hero dies from some bambo spikes that should have done nothing)
