I think I know what bothers me about the artwork.
It kinda feels like someone took ball joint models, set them up in poses and photgraphed them and traced over those to create the body of each character. Probably 3D models being used as a base, if I had to guess.

The hands always looks stiff in the same couple positions where the fingers seem locked in place, and there's a weird rigidness to the body itself, even in very dynamic, in-motion poses.

Almost like I'm looking at jrpg character graphics on the ps2 or something. Technically in 3D, but the modeling tech leaves the character more like a semi-flexible doll but with none of the life-like range of movement you'd expect.

And the poses in each frame look like they were staged for a studio shot, rather than as though a photo capture of a point in time in the middle of a dynamic ongoing fight.

Just very stiff and posed overall.

I'm interested in seeing how she'll kill the hero. Will it be like in the reincarnator killer manga?

Oh, she got a berserk mode, neat :wooow:
Now we pray she doesn't activate it in bed, 'cause that would be messy for many reasons :nyoron:

I'm pretty sure that "romance" tag indicates that there will be no hero killing going on
here I thought they were making a joke about the yuri aspect ("little death" being a French-based euphemism for orgasm), assuming "Reincarnator Killer Manga" is referring to Executioner's Way of Life.

If not, then disregard me.

I was trying to figure out what bothered me so much about this series and why the fight scenes left me cold and this is exactly it. The MC's ridiculous outfit also adds to the uncanny valley aspect of the movement, it doesn't really follow motion physics in a way that is distracting.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the action scenes either, on top of the outfits and storytelling... if the yuri is also a flop count me out-

The art is not great, but it's passable. You're probably right about the 3D model thing, it looks almost like stop motion. And the art could improve as the author gets better with the tools.

But the setup is dark and interesting, although transforming that into an interesting story is a step a whole lot of manga can't climb. We shall see.
