why the couple last page give me feeling that the barkeep is pretty much the castle owner
his denial-answer of "I'm just an inn-keeper" makes me think he's a veteran, probably someone of considerable authority when he was "active duty" or whatever equivalent.

Also because he's being portrayed as a halfway reasonable man in this setting, in clear contrast to every other guy in that joint. So major authority figure that commands respect and instant obedience from many others - he probably doesn't own the whole castle of Earthhelm, but he's got a considerable amount of soft political capital to his name.

MY GOD, fucking give her a decent outfit! And here we're learning she is not even wearing panties with that....
If at least it was an official outfit of the church and acknowledged by everyone in the universe, they would respect it. But no. Every time she encounters someone, mostly men, "Oh look, it's a slut. I'm going to touch you without your consent and even try raping you"

Why is she still wearing something that shameful indecent and making her ashamed of wearing that shit.
And I didn't even point out the fact she is still seeing the hero as a dude when the hero is not even trying to hide she is a girl.
This makes Alicia look like an idiot.

She is blindly following the church; she is wearing an outfit that makes her an easy target for rapists, sexual aggressions, and sexist remarks, and she can't differentiate a girl from a dude when she is wearing men's outfits. If at least the hero was more androgynous, fit, tall, and wearing pants. But no. She is just your average young, beautiful anime girl.

This is why trying to absolutely sexualize your female characters makes them uninteresting or even detestable.

This chapter really showed that the author has zero clue how to draw moving people. This manga is cooked all the action scenes look like they’re setup by a 5 year old playing with figurines
Is it just me or does it feel like they traced over 3d assets a lot? I think they used a 3d model posing utility and traced over it without doing any perspective warping or anything which is why the action is so stiff. It's not as bad as if they traced over AI or someone else's drawings, but it does kinda take me out of it

Gotta be more picky with your customers. If you don't want them destroying your property, that is.

This seems to be drawn by the same people who did OPM. A book suddenly appears at the hip on some panels during the fight.
In all seriousness - people are likely modeled separately in 3D modeling software then pasted into frames. This is why they are supper complex but sometimes are missing parts and look awkward.

Clip studio paint, one of the most used drawing software, has built-in 3D tools to set up 3D models you can trace over, so my guess is the author rely on that heavily.
Sure, it can be handy, but the issue is, if you just trace over it without making adjustments, it looks stiff and lifeless like you said.

Also, regarding the hero, it seems like everybody confused her with a guy for some reason, not just the nun. That kid called her bro, after all. It does feels like everybody's pretty blind considering the hero isn't that masculine to begin with. She's just small chested with shortish hair, but even her hairstyle is pretty feminine...

I'm just going to create my own head cannon that the Hero has a magical device or spell that creates an illusion so people see her as a man. Otherwise, it's not believable. She's drawn like a cute girl, with moderately short (but still feminine) hair, and wearing shorts. One look at her face, and you know she's a girl. Same with her thighs. Her small breast look like small breasts. No one is going to confuse the Hero's tits for muscles.

What the Hero should be doing, is wearing a disguise. Baggy clothing to hide her feminine curves. A hood to hide her face. Or a full mask. She could have padding on her shoulders. she could wear a fake beard. Zero effort has been put into this. How is everyone fooled by this?

I wouldn't say she's blindly following the church, given how frequently she calls them out as corrupt and full of lies. It's more that she doesn't feel like she has a choice but to follow their orders, to the point where she's explicitly worried about being sold into slavery if she fails.

She could be wearing just about any kind of armor, like a gambeson.
