Very interesting premise, I was expecting it to turn into a death game/free for all, but I didnt expect it to escalate that fast into an elimination.
I feel like they didn't quite establish any other characters yet...maybe its for the author to have some leeway in adding characters.

That being said, the vampire lady said she divorced the hero...so I guess ex-partners are also part of this fight...?

Are you sure it was the hero who lived and died and not a demon lord? :3
Who knows, maybe the dead are just kept in limbo until the end of the trial for revival, but that's hopeful thinking

Forbidden from leaving the capital? That makes this inheritance battle more interesting!

I thought there's updated but still chapter 1?

Oh well it's free anyway I already read until chp 3. Kinda hope they delved more into relationship of these stranger siblings instead of just battle royale.

Same question. I thought there's translation error but she said that too in raw. If it's not error from mangaka then she's probably ex-partner since the title not focusing on childrens but all family.

The bird did say during the meeting that "They are what you call "half-siblings" and their family members", so your interpretation is correct.

同じサイズの物しか無いので助かります

Yao3:
(Ah, what a relief. It managed to fit in the coffin.) It is fortunate that they only come in one size.

Abandoned Kids Scans
(Oh, that's great. Looks like he fits in the coffin.) I only have one this size, so that's a relief. :salute:

DeepL:
It's helpful that they only have items of the same size. :nyoron:

Google Translate:
It's helpful because there are only items of the same size available. :wooow:

ChatGPT:
The sentence 同じサイズの物しか無いので助かります translates to:

“It helps that you only have items in the same size.”
or more naturally in English:
“It’s helpful since you only have one size available.” :wtf:

ChatGPT (after explaining context):
In this context, the tone is slightly dark but matter-of-fact. A precise translation would be:

“Ah, thank goodness.
It looks like I can somehow get him into the coffin.
Since I only have coffins of the same size, this helps.”

Or more naturally in English:

“Ah, good. Looks like I can manage to fit him in the coffin.
It’s a relief since all I have are ones of the same size.”

Breakdown

鳴呼よかった — “Ah, thank goodness.” (鳴呼 is an exclamatory “ah,” somewhat dramatic/old-fashioned in manga tone.)

何とか棺に入りそうです — “It looks like I can somehow get him into the coffin.” (入りそう = “seems like it will fit.”)

同じサイズの物しか無いので助かります —
Literally: “Since there are only things of the same size, that helps.”
In context, 物 refers to the coffins he has available.
The implication is: He doesn’t have different coffin sizes to choose from, so it’s fortunate this one works.
