The guy with V-shaped headpiece wasn't shown on the last page of 1st chapter,
he's probably the sword-user facing the dwarf
I wonder if he'll be the strongest one amongst the bunch
looks more regal, maybe a demon (?), so probably one of the stronger ones,

would be funny if dwarf eliminated him off-screen though

so with 11, 3 has formed an alliance, 8 to go.
I wonder if hero's wives/concubines will interfere and adding the number.
But at this pace, we might hit the ending in less than 20 chapters.

Huh, so the familiar is going to kill them the moment they're disqualified, even if they don't try to continue fighting for the inheritance afterwards?
that's exactly what happened in chapter 1, giant was killed as soon as his letter was burnt. so yes.

longer than that , because:
1. the stronger/more cunning ones should take more than one chapter
2. 49 days means some people should take longer-term ambush tactics instead of direct confrontation., and there should be days off/flashbacks related to the overall mystery about why familiar/hero wants them to fight each other to the death
3. others should think about teaming up too/have already teamed up- for example- 11 members remaining means one member was hidden in chapter 1 (I only counted 12 total at the start, so I assumed it would be 10 members remaining this chapter) so maybe a bat/bats was actually vampire ex-wife's kid
4. inheritance involving a ' staff of underworld ' and likely other ancient relics more OP than the garment of concealment, likely means even nobles/royalty or entire nations would get involved, so there should be outsiders like royal soldiers/mercenaries/assassins in the mix. the guy (demon?) with v-shaped accessories especially looks important (regal?) too

Also, I do think the other mothers will join up sometime, because only one mom being alive out of 12 does seems too few especially since dwarves, demons, etc. are usually depicted as having a long lifespan. and elf and dragon's mom have been alluded to so seem like they'll be relevant later.

That's actually kind of disappointing, it removes some of the ambiguity
If I'm reading what the familiar spirit said in chapter 1 correctly, the moment someone gives into their greed and attacks someone to increase their inheritance and loses they will die even if they lose the will to continue as they're no longer qualified to be the hero's child. That said, if you look at it from another way, it seems like as long as they don't give into their greed, they should be fine even if they are disqualified.

That determines whether or not this is all a setup by Watari or the Hero. If you decide you're happy with a 1/12 share and chill for 49 days, do you still die?

That is IF you managed to survive for 49 days against the whole gaggle of half siblings out to slit your throat, but i believe that is the premise that the familiar gave the family members: Chill out, stick around, and after 49 days, those who still have their will would be divided part of the inheritance

It sounds like at least according to Watari that people who chill for 49 days are fine. The way I'm interpreting it is that the hero wants his descendants to have 2 traits: the ability to not lose themselves to greed and strength. Ideally they should be both but failing that, they need at the minimum one of those traits. Those who attack their siblings for greed and lose have none of the traits and thus aren't worthy of being the hero's descendant which is why they're culled.
