This story really doesn't deserve all the review bombing it's received. It just seems like people aren't mature enough to read it without being mindbroken by the NTR plot line and are letting their distaste of it cloud their view of the actual quality from a storytelling perspective, which isn't surprising given the general audience for anime and manga but it's still worth pointing out.

Note: I'm also not saying this story is "good" per se, but I can at least appreciate how out of the literal ocean of shitty betrayal stories out there, this one actually has the nuts to take the heroines away in a truly brutal way and fuck over the generic harem mc to the point where you actually want to root for him after seeing his descent into misery. As opposed to the usual slop in this genre where the mc gets "betrayed" for a moronic reason in the first chapter, mopes around for a few pages, then goes on to gather ANOTHER harem by chapter 4.

From comments that I read it looks like the story is going down a different route as the mind control of Ark harem happens completely off screen in the web novel, while in the light novel and the manga the mind control is more on screen, and a other different is Ark and Shou only have sex in the true ending route were Yuya sister is the one summoned instead. Heres the summary: Mc and his childhood friends (3 gorgeous women and one is his fiancee) get appointed skills, mc was supposed to be the hero but some guy who reincarnated into their world got his skills instead and they swapped, which gave the mc the sheild skill. Me personally I think the best route for MC was the route when the slave girl didn't die, he got his real powers back and the Hero was exposed and imprisoned and the girls were so pissed off they killed him themselves while he was in the dungeon and the MC sent them all away to different parts of the world to constantly take on missions until death and he got to marry the slave girl on his own plot of land. The hero eventually does lose his skill causing every girl he's forced to trip out, they do come back but they keep all their memories, i think in one of the routes they asked for their memories erased. Also I don't know when the next chapter is getting translated and raw chapters seem to get made once a month.

This is some blatant sht ass ideology propaganda of "no good deeds go unpunished", the author should get his edgy life advice somewhere else.
Most of what you said aligns with what I said except all of you avoid the same part for some reason. After he deals with the hero, does he deserve to abandon all of the girls regardless of what would happen to them as a consequence, get a VIRGIN heroine that is better than them combined and leave the rest of his life in peace with his new love or is thus a virgin take. The question was not how he is, was or will be stuck with the toxic victim sympathy gaining washed up sloppy seconds because I already established in my previous point that he has well enough right to abandon them. To tie their "fates" with some parallel world bs is nothing but a representation of the author's cuck fantasy that I want no part of. I'd if they were glued together with industrial grade red string of fate, I am talking about this time line where they went the town with the fake hero. Honestly what do you want me to say... even if I touched on the virgin topic it still reaches the same conclusion. Ark still has pain and trauma, the girls are all suicidal and want penance. Ark doesn't want to be with them anymore yet has to be reminded of their moments of betrayal whenever they come in sight. Virgin or not there's no room for forgiveness or reconciliation at this point. So honestly the virgin topic is a moot point.

In the ending (I'm not sure which) where he gets back with them after the betrayal/cheating. It's just a way of making your cake and eating it too. An ending that ties everything up for a "happy ending". A common Japanese trope and theme that I wish they'd stop in fantasy, yet that's the point of the genre. Fantasy is MEANT to be UNREALISTIC.

This manga makes me nauseous I thought I was going to vomit, I could only see the last chapter uploaded instead of reading it one by one from the beginning. Why do many Japanese mangaka make pacifist MC? After being harassed and humiliated, the MC suddenly forgives? Why do mangaka there rarely realize that the most important thing is not the MC who forgives but the readers who forgive? I don't mind pacifist MC like Vinland Saga but that's because Vinland Saga's characters have complex characters that make it reasonable for their characters to be evil and forgivable but... manga like this makes their characters seem pure evil, whether brainwashed or whatever it is like a cheap excuse and a substitute reason like being controlled by Lust. It's very difficult to forgive the Heroine and I even felt more nauseous than aroused when reading chapter 14. Seriously, I hope the mangaka there who don't have the ability to create pacifist characters would be better off creating edgy but boring characters. It's better to create boring characters than to create characters that make readers nauseous.
