To me Mel is the only one that deserves even some pity. She seemed to be reluctant of ditching Ceres and later even defended him from accusations about stealing party funds, but in the end she chose Zect's dick over Ceres and allowed him to use her to try to hurt Ceres with the Necklace Reveal. In reality though she never really had a chance with Ceres even if she had remained faithful because he considered her a child.
