19 is technically also a "teen" but old enough to run shady businesses. Not that shady businesses would care much for legality in the first place, being shady businesses and all...Also a "teen" was working as a dealer at a shady casino?
It's pretty hard for me to fathom now that the age for so many "rites" of adulthood keep increasing in much of the developed world, but once upon a time even a 15 yo was considered a proper adult in most societies. I don't miss the days of child labor, but I do resent how we postpone basic expectations for independence and maturity and granting people responsibilities commensurate with their actual capability ever later and later (if at all), as if our lifespans were increasing exponentially (which they most certainly are not). In another era, an older teen dealing at a casino would seem completely reasonable to me tbh. Also a "teen" was working as a dealer at a shady casino?
I guess he now has de facto ownership of said casino, so, whatever, but for whatever reason that was what stuck out to me.

Glad we're all in agreement in wanting the kids to fuck off.
Remember that the age when women are still considered beautiful in this world is very young, so it only makes sense that a person who'd be hired half for her looks (and another half on her game cheating abilities) is a teen. It's true.
Kids really do seem to ruin everything.
