It's a really stupid segway line. Every single one of his wives expressed how much they disliked their exhusbands in the last few chapters, but then MC comes back with how they were great people? It's like the author just decided to give MC sudden brain damage

Yeah, it's kinda weird, but I guess it's to contrast how they were portrayed when interacting with the OP to how they treated their wives?

But I agree it's a weird segue.
