The censorship annoys the hell out of me. It's not that I need titties to enjoy the manga, but if you're going out of your way to draw "adult things", then stop censoring them afterwards.
Is this from the raw or is this yet another translation group censoring shit afterwards?

I know Zect is supposed to be a douche but "this wouldn't have happened if you didn't provoke them" logic is a huge brain rot. They said that after the fact but can they say for certain BEFORE it happened? No way, right? So why blame the guy why he was risking his life for you?
It's weird how the author went out of his way to vilify Zect early in the story, only now to turn around and make him appear sympathetic. Why spend all that time making him the bad guy, and making him look like a complete douche, if he was going to just apply the power of friendship and make everything all better? Seems like poor writing.
I always hate this kind of development. If the author intended to make a sympathetic villain, they shouldn't make him a complete ass hole and left some thing we can at least relate to. A complete jerk suddenly turned into a sympathetic character feels like ass pulled to me.

it's from the raw, inititial raws are censored for magazine releases, then when the actual volume comes out they're uncensored

I don't mind the hero being redeemed as long as 1)it's handled well (we'll see in the next chapters if that's the case) and 2)we won't stop getting Ceres having sex with milfs.

How bad was it on the LN? Now I'm getting kinda curious. Spoil the story for a bit, mayhaps? 👀
if i remember basically, since ceres become new dragon with ability of "Everything he wishes comes true" it makes his character boring. Oh, also aside from 4 milf he also got aditional 3 harem member, princess older sister, ex sword Saintess, and a Goddess. oh, Later he go to nirwana/Heaven where he spent his entire life fucking his harem. Zect on the other hand got great character development.

Oh my god, we to have magical super glorious nippon-land so that everyone can see the superiority of the fabled onsen and all that bullshit.

I always laugh when mangaka go to all the trouble to make some fancy standard fantasy feudal Europe style world and then just randomly kludge in a bunch of Japanese shit because they can't be bothered not to play the greatest hits. I'm surprised Ceres isn't getting fed rice and miso soup for breakfast too.

It's weird how the author went out of his way to vilify Zect early in the story, only now to turn around and make him appear sympathetic. Seems like poor writing.

Probably the same reason that all the other dads were made to seem like decent people at first, just bound by the different ethical standards of this world, then later were revealed to be varyingly scummy assholes so that we wouldn't feel bad when Ceres took their wives and gave them slaves that looked like their kids in order to ruin their families out of revenge. It's like the author doesn't really have a plan and just rewrites things as needed to serve the story's eventual direction.

I don't quite agree with some here that this is criticism of the DQ style hero concept.

Yes on the surface it appears as if it makes no sense for all the burden to fall upon a few people.

But that's not how it really works? If it were real life, the hero party would be supported by taxes and tithes. That's the contribution people make towards the effort.

And while that still places the entire risk on the hero party, it's also about effective use of resources. You could win a war by tossing a country's entire population into the meat grinder. You could also do it with a smaller, more professional military force. The latter has the added benefit of not crippling a country for the duration and afterwards, and yes, it also saves people from the horrors of war, as if that's not a desirable concept.

However I will agree with the scene's most apparent point. Which is that said military force, in this case the hero party, shouldn't be blamed when they're taking all the risks....especially if they lack the right training or guidance. Honestly it's more of the latter issue...

Ceres has a really good point. Sure, many will die if all of humanity were to take up arms and charge against the demons. But with the right numbers they might just win and then it's all over.

The transition from Zect regretting his action toward Ceres and being remorseful to the scene of his mother getting absolutely railed by Ceres is absolutely brutal, LMAO!

While everyone is wondering why no one has pointed out that's it's silly for a small group to defeat the demon lord, I think the reason for that has been displayed many times in other comics - the Demon lord, and the hero, are insanely strong to the point that others are just insignificant ants that would get in the way of the hero's quest. Actually, the Hero is usually shown as still being significantly weaker than a demon lord and needing a holy sword, or something, to be able to stand toe to toe with a demon lord.

Of course, that's other comics, in this comic it appears that the hero is stronger than normal humans, but not significantly so. The Demon Lord is likely in a similar situation. So I think MC's plan would work in this case, and that it really is silly for the Kingdom and the Church to place such high expectations on some kids.

It's weird that this is the manga that makes a good point of the Hero's Party having all the responsibility thrust upon them and all the blame for when things don't go perfectly.
But you really can't beat the tried and true strategy of "everyone group up, and hit it till it dies!"
There is another Manga that seems to be dwelling into that, forgot the name and can't find it in my reading history.
Is recent and on-going, the protagonist has been put into a marriage with the demon lord, is lovely but is heavily hinted that they use the MC as an errand jack of all trades boy.

I don't know what I expected, but those sure weren't on the list lmao

Thanks for the info tho! Hopefully those hijinks got turned down a notch on the manga.. But who knows..
