This story is so odd. It acts like him getting kicked out was the party’s fault, but it seems like no one taught them anything. Apparently, their parent taught them nothing, MC taught them nothing, and the church taught them nothing. Then when the party, knowing nothing, kicks MC out he just fucks off and acts like he had nothing to do with why they’re so unprepared.
Yeah, don't go looking for logic in what was originally a web novel, more than likely written by some rando Japanese teen. I mean, I get it that the whole thing is basically just an excuse for some light hentai, but even so it's still worse than I'd expect.
I mean, that’s a good point. Taking down a demon king and their army with just a group of people and calling them the ‘Hero Party’ makes no fucking sense.
It makes sense if you go by the rules of their world, which is basically that some people have what are essentially superpowers, and others don't. How many farmers with pitchforks would you need to replace the battle power of one mage? A better manga could probably deal with this with some nuance, but this is a crappy generic isekai, so of course it chooses to just ignore its own worldbuilding when it suits it.

Zect is showing he truly knew nothing and was doing as he seemed fit while Ceres always cared for him like a son. The other girls prove they are weak and really break down anytime they struggle with Zect not even helping them given the violence to the barrier.

I didn't read the novel but I'm betting when the daughters see their moms they will break unless as punishment the mothers force them to help Ceres beast mode

Deconstructing the DQ hero narrative so prevalent in Isekai is absolutely not what I was expecting from this manga, but it's really welcome. I'm glad that the hero party and even a (seemingly) side character like the pope are all multi-dimensional.
And of course, going from that to Ceres's harem discussing how to deal with his new dragon dick while waiting for their turn is just hilarious.

They didn't tell them not to fight the dragons because the religious authorities giving them requests have no clue about which is the better way to approach each situation. It's up to the people in the ground to make those decisions. it's not really deconstructing it just pointing out absurdity in it that's usually explained in those stories or is expected to
It's not really deconstructing it. It's really just pointing out things you're typically expected to suspend your disbelief for or is explained away in those narratives. The story would have to say a bit more than this to be deconstructing it imo.

As has been said, “With Great Power, Comes Great Responsibility.”

Sure, douche and friends may have had high expectations placed on them, but they were also given power and accommodations fit for kings. Instead of using that power and influence to inspire others to fight as well, he dicked around and fucked all of his childhood friends.

The point is to save the lives of people who don’t have that power. Either do your fucking job, or let someone more suited do it.

Yeah its like they were raised as normal villagers and then pushed to be the heroes suddenly at 16 without any sort of training. Then when they obviously don't have a clue what they are doing we're expecting to cheer when things go bad. The story wants us to be happy when their friend destroys their home so they have no where to return. But also seems to want us to ignore how the mothers are partially responsible for how those children turned out. If we're supposed to thing their lack of survival skills is something they should be ashamed of, why wouldn't that reflect badly on their mothers too.

Honestly I forgot it was an isekai. It seems the only reason for that is so the MC can be attracted to the "old" mothers in this world.

It's weird how the author went out of his way to vilify Zect early in the story, only now to turn around and make him appear sympathetic. Why spend all that time making him the bad guy, and making him look like a complete douche, if he was going to just apply the power of friendship and make everything all better? Seems like poor writing.
nah he's still a dick he just realized he was also a retard

Same here hoping the manga takes a different route than the LN. But with Ceres now having dragon libido worried it's just going to follow the LN.
How bad was it on the LN? Now I'm getting kinda curious. Spoil the story for a bit, mayhaps? 👀

Pope : "The Hero's party screwed up ! Thousands of people lost their lives!"
Ceres : "You have no right to blame them!"

At the same time,

MILFs : "The Hero's party had you made all the chores and then set you free, making them miserable while we are living the best time of our life with you taking care of us. Let's make sure they have no place to call home and let's treat them like shit when they come back to us!"
Ceres . Thumbs up!
