she is not sabotaging him she is trying looking out for him in her own way
You have to remember she does not know he gained a new power and only knows his skill level from when they was grouped together(he was just above 70 and they were 250ish) and because they did not want him to die in the place that they where going to they asked him to leave (and remember he himself knew it was likely to happen and was thinking of leaving himself)
Also if she was trying to sabotage him she would have asked the maid to try and stall them not just keep her informed on there progress
Sure, but it's a shitty way to behave towards someone you apparently (self-admittedly) love. Also, not talking to him even once.
That makes it seem a lie on the captain's part when she said she didn't talk to the others about kicking him.
What I regard as a normal person would have got in touch with him upon hearing the leader pulled the plug, just to at least show him there is still love (or at least fondness) for him. The way it looks now (especially if you look at how the leader did the kicking - deep read that a bit), the leader kicked him to the curb without showing that she cared, and the others haven't even pinged him about it.
And yes, I've seen people here say that it's on him that he left without talking to the others. How can you think that? He's just been crushed - no matter that he understood that he was weaker - and not one of the persons he's spent years with (and apparently knew since childhood!!!) has felt the need to show they will miss him?!
Insane. And he wants back? Why? They don't seem to care from his POV!?
Like I wrote - re-read the first chapter. The leader (Kou?) doesn't even once show emotion. He brings up their history, hopes, and memories. She doesn't respond even once. He thinks the team will get a bad rep for kicking him - she asks him to do the paperwork (since if HE leaves, it won't look as bad!!!)
There is NOthing that indicates that she loves him, or that any of them care for him!!!
And still I like the rest of the manga. (Well, the gender reveal thing was just stupid, but hey?! If that's how the mangaka wants to do the story, well sure. You do you.)
