Yeah this situation is too SAO-Esque for me to not think of it, tho this guy power really is basically Accelerator's, just that he haven't managed to find ways to just reverse an attack and not simply redirecting it.
This guy should study how mirrors work, even if he can't directly reverse them you can redirect light in so many ways.

So that's why her name is Usui Tooru.... I knew it was a meaningful name.

ETA: it's like "thin" and "transparent", I thought it referred to her being unremarkable or unnoticed but it turns out she has a matching power instead.

9 chapters in and everyone is coordinating, being honest where strictly necessary, actually relying on proper teamwork, tries their actual best, and still not a single asshole of a character so far? In my party banishment story? This one's a keeper.

I still see this as a complete failure from the person who organized this formation.

That aside. Since we still have no clues what his limitations are. There's absolutely nothing stopping him from just going Arrow Trap x 1000 and slamming the body of the enemy everywhere rendering it completely useless.

Honest question. Was there an MP system? Was there a trap limit system? Is it stamina based? What is it? Because as far as we can tell, he can just lay any number of traps he wants... Really, the only thing we've confirmed is that traps are single uses.

Mind you, I've been mostly skimming so it is an honest question. I might have missed the excuse provided somewhere along the way, but the story of this Magic Swordsman whose only trap he keeps near him are 14 year olds of multiple different sexes really just kinda fails to really capture my full attention, so I am just kinda speed reading through.

"The common theme between all these monsters is that they have a high attack power!"
Is this supposed to be some sort of revelation? I'd assume most of the monsters we'd be seeing in such a giant raid battle would be throwing out quite a lot of damage. It didn't seem like this raid was the "zerg rush of small mobs" type of fight so I kinda figured big damage was on the menu.

It's possible he specifically means they're very offense-heavy, which would be reasonable except there wasn't anything about them in the last chapter that would suggest this is the case - they don't look particularly offense-focused, nobody says anything about an unexpectedly high amount of damage they have to deal with, etc. The whole "monster/boss theme" surprise feels really weightless when there wasn't really anything for the audience to work with to try and guess.

I do wanna once again praise this glasses guy for honestly still not do the usual trope of been dismissive or delusional. Again in other things even when shit goes down like this the people will still be all like hes just a low scum!!! But not here, here everyone after the 1 death instantly acted on our mc action and words. Its just nice to see yoj know lol also a wizqrd with Stealth is hella funny like wops suddenly fireball

Yeah highly respect this manga for not doing any of the usual tropes. The raid leader wasn't dismissive of the MC he actually listened to what he was saying last chapter he just made a reasonable call to prioritize his employer. Even the MC didn't have all the pieces to convince him until it was too late. There's wasn't really anyone at fault here they just lacked the information and just made a bad call, its very realistic. The group also actually feel like veteran/professional and where quick to adapt without the usual dumbing down of everyone else just make the MC look cooler/smarter then everyone else.

Nice that while the MC is making good calls he isn't op and wrecking everything with his new powers. He still has limits which is kinda nice. Also nice that the other characters aren't going, "LAWL sure we have no plan and yours is good, but you're a trapper so lets all go charge in blindly and die hur dur dur!" So nice change of pace with the lack of standard tropes.
