He said just last chapter that her job is literally to stop him if he gets carried away. He got carried away, so she's stopping him.

The other guy is still standing, he clearly hasn't gotten carried away yet. So far all mc has done is defend himself and pretend to fight back at believable levels of an adventurer being attacked.
The only thing close to being 'carried away' is the roleplay, like the attack names, which are just some harmless fun and not being carried away.

I think there is a good reason not to end it instantly as Youki might be escalating his force as a fight goes on so he doesn’t accidentally insta kill anyone by mistake since we know he is ultra nightmare secret boss levels of strong

The thing I'm curious about is why he attacked in the first place. The "kidnapping" misunderstanding was cleared immediately, but last chapter Yuuki called Cecily his partner, and apparently that's what set him off. Anyone who knows her would see through the "disguise", so I can see why this guy would recognize her. But the meaning of partner here should be clearly that of adventuring partner, so why would he become violent?
Yuuki then replied in kind because a chuuni would not back down, and is playing with his food basically, but it's not even clear why they're fighting.
