Him unlocking this form now and not during fighting youki or the demon king means that currently he is more determined on apologizing to mikana than he was to saving millions of people from death

Specifically at this point, we don't know for sure if he just unlocked this form.. as he could've done the same against the Demon King which is the fight we never got to see.

Actually, in general we never really got to see how Yuuga fights at full power. The only opportunities were in the flashbacks with the battles against Youki.. but he always squad-wiped Yuuga and his party too quickly. We only know that he wields "Excalibur" and is extremely agile.
