And before we forget it, usually fae are supposed to be assholes that can switch moods in a heartbeat, and torment you just because they were feeling bad that day and you happened to be in their line of sight.

I can't imagine they'd be any more gentle with an "anomaly" in their species.

It’s just not fully the main couple. More like 50/50 or 75 percent main and 25 percent sides. Unusual, but nothing crazy. You’re probably just used to romances focusing 100% on the main couple.

Sik is a fae. He will always have a youthful appearance although mentally he seems only slightly older than the siblings. Makes sense for Flora to have that closeness Sik intrigues her and he is genuinely kind and caring. Not to mention her brother respects him. For someone like Sik, it feels like this is the first time he has had a family considering how the lady Celia treats him as a son and now has playmates of a similar mental maturity.

I'm a high school teacher. A lot of my students are romantic ally inclined and learn more than I would prefer just from random conversations and fellow teacher gossip. Even 7th graders are flirty with each other.
