i mean it makes sense, the anime was only 12 episodes, they needed to cut out something to get to the confession part. There was no way it was gonna get a 2nd season so it was for the best that they cut off the vampire, even the hero realizing his feelings arc was cut. The anime story was solid, but you can't deny the poor animation quality.

I wouldn't mind another scene of Youki giving Cecilia fighting lessons. He might not have wanted to reborn as a demon powerhouse, but that's what he is, nonetheless, and he certainly doesn't mind being strong. In his relationship with Cecilia, combat might be the only activity where he can display superiority. Otherwise Cecilia pretty much has the last word (a common theme in this manga), even if she thankfully is no control freak and thus Youki is living his own life quite leisurely.

I mean she’s a vampire so you can kinda surmise what her reasons are for being in a coffin from there. Iirc it was already explained in a previous chapter. I would go find it for you but all the chapters are unlabeled and I don’t feel like going out of my way to skim for it just to answer your question.
