Okay, this went from passable time waster to downright stupid. Should not have let that scumbag live. Not only is it one of the dumbest and most infuriating cliches ever, but it was also a strategically bad decision, letting an unhinged maniac like that witness a powerful demon mucking about, then letting him go.

Why is so many isekai/OP MC manga plagued with stupid protagonists and lazy writing? Actually, this isn't even lazy writing, this just a bad decision on the author's part. The story was perfectly passable until now.

People forgetting as usual that the next logical step after MC kills foreign douche is foreign kingdom declaring war, it's a tactic as old as politics.
Step 1: Send notable, at least somewhat disposable knight/noble to lead band of "bandits".

Step 2: Raid and pillage around main roads and villages of [foreign kingdom you want to go to war with].

Step 3: Wait for [foreign kingdom] to kill knight/noble alongside "bandit" group or otherwise imprisoning them.

Step 4: When [foreign kingdom] sends envoy to question why your knight/noble was committing crimes in their nation feign ignorance and be outraged that "[foreign kingdom] dares to besmirch the name and honor of my kingdom!? You falsely imprison/kill my people and slander their name, then dare come here to slander the honorable name of my Royal family!?! THIS MEANS WAR!"

Step 5: Now that the war is the fault of [foreign kingdom] and not you warmongering your people are very onboard with it.

Step 6: Profit.

Well, i doubt MC was thinking that far, tbf. And, just because the douche was left alive, doesn't mean enemy kingdom can't come up with a different justification (like "The cleric maiden was defending a gargoyle, surely this kingdom is conspiring with demons!" or something even less legitimate).

If MC did dispose of the douche (especially out there in the sticks) though, and it would've been foreign kingdom's business to prove shit - that foreign hero was there discreetly, acting pretty much as a saboteur.

Then again, there is a ton of casus belli foreign kingdom can fabricate, just to declare a war. Like, if they really want to, they will pull out any kind of BS outta their asses for that, regardless of what really transpired.
