In order: starts nice, focuses WAY too much on the "banished" angle, "MC was actually super mega OP and only reason hero party was good" trope with the dragon fight, return to focusing on banishment, and then chapters where you can just skip most panels because the whole chapter was "introduce and resolve small plot progression".

And I do mean small. There's a whole chapter for MC to be offered a job, walk around talking/thinking about it, and then accept it. That's the chapter.

So for anyone that knows a scanlation group that has had interest in this but didn't want to step on GD's feet seeing as they were the last group to have it that wasn't absolute trash, I spoke with a couple of members from GD about it and they are totally fine with another group picking up the series. One of them even said they'd be interested in helping to some degree too.

this is a good story, I like it. the artstyle is okay, a shoujo-like style, but the plot story, drama, and characterization are good. feels like playing a fantasy RPG game back on my PS1.

author plot twist about the asshole, jerk, awful characters being brainwashed by some shady mastermind is an L take. it's lame. it's so many it became typical now.
why they can't make awful people just literally awful and make conclusion and dramatic ending on that?

it's like, "look at this, character Hero-san and his friends is being a massive jerk and bully towards the MC and becoming cocky as fuck. we hate him, uggh." and then, "ohhh, turns out they're all just behaves like that because they were brainwashed by the demon king's general! ohh okay, it's fine now, everyone get along ^^"

it's just lame.
