You know at this point, if there is a demon lord I'm looking forward to them killing the Hero Party. Bunch of assholes

"I hate it when people want me for their own selfish desires, so when this guy came along, the first thing I did was offer myself in a contract of servitude."

???????

Also how can the hero's party be so badly written. Even by the low standards of the "they were soo mean to me boo-hoo" wangst that this trope is meant for.

@macarroiz you could always just check out the raws 23+ (?) to know
his real friends both help him and he might take on the quest (and t hey do beat up the hero party) but he is the clear winner of what he obtains and turns down their party invite and his own party grows

Just walk forward. That’s all you need to do in a maze. I’ve done it in a roblox game and it worked perfectly. Also, why not just walk off the paths and keep walking in one straight line?
Those strategies won't work because of the illusions and changing maze layout. Standard fantasy stuff.

Why are they acting like they just thought of something evil? It's just a one time contract. Rain is also an adventurer so even a personal request would work.

If it's a perfect maze (i. e. no loops), you can just follow one wall and you'll eventually cover the whole maze. If there are loops, you have to be able to mark intersections you've visited previously and rely on those markings remaining there. However, in this case the maze changes over time, so those kinds of strategies won't work. You can still handle it in theory if the changes are regular and consistent, but if they are random you're screwed.
