@DJKenji there are two cat girls in the manga's cover art so I'm guessing that it's the cat girl's sister
(I want some twin sister harem so this should be good)

Wait Wait Wait waaaaaaaait! Lemme get this story straight. Are every named character in this comedy dramatic story just plain baka ???

So even the "hero" team doesn't even know the general basics of what a beast tamer can do? So they're just noobs? Why else would they need to do that escort job? 😛

And like. Those 100 bandits are also a bunch of dumb mobs too? Don't they know they were sharing their den with not just that thing on the last panel, but
a whole family of them ???
😛😆😛😆 Come now, be somewhat a tad realistic here. You just can't throw all those bad things in the story like that. I mean it seem as if it's the "birth" of the real hero that's the trigger.

And one more. How come this very isolated tribe (FMC, sorta) seem to know so much more about the world of tamers than the ”hero" team? Hmm? Hmm?

@UncleRad

Well its pretty much the difference between someone who is willing to learn and someone who has their head stuck in their own asses

@UncleRad I agree with arashikitsu. From the first chapter, it looks like the hero's party used him a Scout and a glorified pack mule and from the way others react around him, it doesn't look like Beast Tamers are well respected anyway. Why would they take the time to learn about the skills/limitations that go along with being a Beast Tamer if they never respected his skillset (or even him) in the first place?

On another note, it would be nice to know how he first joined the party. After all, if he had to beg to join because they didn't respect him from the start (or something like that), it would make more sense why they were so hateful when they kicked him if they thought he wasted that time. Without that background, we are all kind of left guessing the reason behind their dickishness.

Yep, saw that coming. This kind of plot has been done dozens of times before, it's that cookie-cutter 'I got kicked from my party but hold on, I'm actually OP' story template.

The 'hero' party (lol) called him useless because they don't understand the importance of party composition & cohesion and kicked him out, and only realized after the fact he was the main reason they were successful.
Meanwhile he's found a new partner that understands and appreciates his ability, and he's moving up in the world.

I can see the hero party's hubris dropping them into obscurity and hopefully destruction later from not realizing their own faults and constantly blaming anyone they can for their failures.

I imagine at some point the MC will encounter his former party again after he's long since surpassed them, and naturally they'll berate him and still insist he's useless.

I never really feel any kind of adverse way about the betrayals in these stories, but the one thing that always does bother me is that 'oh and leave your gear behind' line they always end with. Like what? If it was a gift that's one thing, but if he fought for it too (and he did) then they can go fuck themselves.

If the normal tamers are that incompetent, I'm not surprised why Beast Tamer is being looked down here. I mean, what's the point of partying with a class that can only contract one animal at the time while have no other skill to defend themselves?
I think the author tried too hard to make MC looks OP in comparison to the normal tamers.

I swear bro. This author is pulling some major bullshit right now. If he can easily control so many animals, why the fuck would be so hesitant to do more than one squirrel? I can kinda see why they kicked him, but it’s their fault for choosing only a beast tamer and not other part members. It takes a lot more than 5 people to kill a demon lord.

So the hero party fires our mc, a beast tamer for being "useless". They hire another tamer the next day without knowing his level of skill. And if they fired mc for being a weak vanguard why in the fuck would they not get a fighter... are these authors so dumb their brain can only create 2-3 normal characters?

Wait, didnt they say mc couldn't fight in ch 1? And now the mage girl acknowledges that he is able to fight. This is waaaaay too inconsistent. They even hired another beast tamer like wtf I thought they dont like beast tamer cuz they're weak isnt that why they kicked out the mc. They should've hired a scout ranger type of person or a tanky tank. Author-san must've been real high creating this mess.

@Jethzki , well in the covers section in this manga, there are actually 3 girls in total, there is a dragon girl

Ok, so my theory that they kicked him out to not share the glory was wrong. I had also hoped that they kicked him out with the belief that what he did (scouting and carrying luggage) had become obsolete. Like maybe the mage had an alarm spell that allowed them to see more effectively than contracted animals. And if the mage and priest girls are so weak in combat, why are they going out alone with some unknown dude for an escort quest? They're the absolute worst set for that mission.

@Kynnath

This kind of story tends to have them despise the kicked's personality, their skills , generally not get along with them or even think they're necessary or just want a new member due to a rank up and they think the kicked is below them or the equivalent.

It's never really a one time or one day decision, they've been thinking about it for a while.
