Surprisingly, the anime didn't fast forward that much in that last ep, this chapter here is just 1 step away to end LN Volume 2, and anime ended with LN Volume 3, Chapter 1 (Anime did sorta like 1 LN chapter to 1 anime ep)

Oh, that's right. It wasn't Arios who turned into a demon, it was the son of the feudal lord (or was it the mayor?).
I guess with this, the feudal lord can be accused of conspiring with demons, which will ensure that he will not get away with his crimes by using his connections.
