It feels shockingly common for writers to nail their initial premise and then fuck it up by bolting more stuff on for the sake of serialization.

A plot where Jin proves his diplomatic chops by playing wingman for his kingdom's prince and hooking him up with the cute demon girl could've been peak.

Or his king, we don't know how old that girl actually is.

These are the royal guards, the kingdom's crème de la crème, but no one's thinking
