"I..I love you!"
"Thank you."

"I...I don't need your answer now, you know? hehehe"
*awkward silence*

*Wind carries some leaves through the screen. One makes a pretty loop.*
"Anywaaay..I gotta go..."
*Snapshot of the hero leaving, while maintaining a stoic (frozen solid) face, while the girl, left behind in the BG, wears a sorrowful (complex) facial expression.*
Fanbase: OHHHWWW!! LOOK AT THAT DEPATURE SCENE!!!! THEY ARE MEANT FOR EACH OTHER!
Well, she could try to cash him in and marry him, before he sets out. But I guess hindering his and the ancient heroine's route might endanger the future of that world. And I get, why she isn't that trilled about him. No matter the circumstances, in the game (predicted future) he can choose between her and another girl and he takes the other one. That would be a K.O. criteria for many people.
BTW: I guess the game had a realistic rendering kind of style and wasn't drawn in manga style? Because how else would she know he'd turn out to be a handsome hunk, if it would be drawn anime style. Every normally drawn character looks nice to look at in such a style. That's one of the main selling points...Or did she live and die in manga tokyo before.
And, yeah...while I do fancy the setting, it really reminds me of another story...something with flying castles....La Puta? Is the ancient heroine La Puta?
