Full disclosure, I'm not part of Hunlight. The group "baits" readers with chapters here on Mangadex to then only continue posting on their own website so they can get Ad-rev and donations. They tried doing that "purchase chapters with coins" stunt previously and almost got completly banned off Mangadex for that. Because of their past "offences" the mods set Hunlights group to open so anyone can upload their stuff here.

Hunlight doubled-down and made it so their images on their website are not downloadable to "protect" them, which is why even with that "punishment" none of their chapters got uploaded here (or on any other aggregate website). I got tired of that, so I built a tool that scrapes their website and then mass-uploaded everything here.

What you are seeing is exactly how these chapters were on Hunlights own website... Missing pages, untranslated sections, all of it. (not the quality I'd hope for from a group trying to get money, but oh well). Your best bet is to go into their Discord and let them know the chapters on their own website is broken and they might fix it/finally upload it themselves here.

I think (I'm not staff so take things with a grain of salt), the reason it is done this way is because Hunlight is monetizing off of their websites ad-rev and donations (which is technically allowed per Managdex TOS), but they were doing it in a way that is kinda scummy.

Whereas the other groups were monetizing by locking chapters behind actual paywalls whether through coin systems or monthly subscriptions.

In my opinion, I think it would have been better to just have made all those groups "open for everyone" in the first place because now there are a bunch of manga that aren't available on mangadex that have translations, and because they technically already have translations the chance another group takes on the project to upload it to Mangadex is slim.
