Thank you for the chapter!!
Tldr:This isn't that kind of manga.
The highest and most powerful existence in that world, Kuro, is in love with the MC.
So what do you think will happen if something bad happens to him?
And bad things will come his way. He is far too well connected now for him to be ignored. Granted, those connections provide protection for him, in and of themselves. But that won't stop someone who's in the "Too stupid to live" category.
Which is why the Phantasmal King is doing this.
"He needs to become stronger. If he breaks from just this, then he won't be able to fulfill her wish."
The Phantasmal King is testing him to see if he has the strength of character to bear up under the worst possible scenario. And part of that is giving the illusion that he's been betrayed.
At this moment, Alice is doing nothing more than playing a role here. And the 30 platinum coins is an allusion of Judas betraying Jesus Christ for 30 silver coins. It's all an act.
Don't forget that MC gave away the protection crystal Mcguffin that Shiro gave him so this stuff wouldn't happen. If I remember correctly; he gave it away to be used as a glorified AA battery.Tldr:
You say that, yet he keeps getting kicked around and abducted, despite the literal goddess/creator of that world liking him..
And you say that, but who even gave the Phantasmal King the right to test him anyway, it's weird that everyone lets everything slide, even if its not that type of story, it just doesn't make sense.
The Phantasmal King has been endangering him for the majority of the story and people knew it, but no one does anything about it, at this point it's not even surprising he's wanting to go back to his world, since not even Kuro herself does anything about it.
(Not just speaking of right now, where she supposedly turned off the crystal, which logically would be useless since Shiro is "everywhere")
Though considering the strongest people to exist apparently "care" for him
It's still dumb to throw a hissy fit over it. Let people do what they want, they're stealing anyways. There is honor amongst thieves. A code of conduct, if you will. I have no clue how long you’ve been in this scene, but for me it’s been 20 years and I love to see that people still respect the golden rules.
The only real acceptable time to just snipe a series is when the quality of the current group is just atrocious and they refuse to accept criticism and/or help.
Other than that? We have no place for hatred in this sphere.
That doesn't make this plot less annoying though. It'll depend on how this is handled, but I think we all know Kaito's just going to forgive her, which is the frustrating part. Like, intentions or not, it's fair to get upset about stuff like this. But that's not the kind of series this is, so...For those who are irritated with Alice ”betraying” Kaito,
She joins his harem later. She’s also the Phantasmal King.
Kaito takes Alice to bed
You need to learn what tl;dr means. You wrote a reply that was not a tl;dr version of the post you were replying to, but your own comment.Tldr:

I'm aware what it means, don't see a ";", i meant it literallyYou need to learn what tl;dr means. You wrote a reply that was not a tl;dr version of the post you were replying to, but your own comment.
I did not realize that. Was there a reason for such a long hiatus?
Mangaka having a health issues.Wasn't this dropped because it was official licensed by sevenseas?
Since you a little blind (don't read at least few first comments) and ignorant i will repeat:Bro there is nothing more retarded than scanlation groups acting like they own the series they are illegally translating. If they are fine leaving it to collect dust for almost a whole year its free to pick.
Thank you so much and please continue translating it. Its a really interesting manga and it would be a shame for it to be left like that
Let me guess, the arc isn't going to bring consequences for anyone 🥲..
Kaito is still being the idiot he is, and he still getting betrayed left and right, without anything being done about it after the fact
Like @BlackAeronaut said:Tldr:

Its not battle shonen nor this is a revenge drama. At its core it is happy go lucky slapstick romance comedy. The term World is at Peace is literal here. There no Major conflicts or tensions out there, only a small problems that regular people or state itself can solve. Otherwise they will become complacent and useless beings. This isn't that kind of manga.

To add onto what Grec said...Its not battle shonen nor this is a revenge drama. At its core it is happy go lucky slapstick romance comedy. The term World is at Peace is literal here. Shiro don't need the jewel to see what happening or save him, she literally omnipotent god who can see multiple versions of future (it's needed to go really great length to fool her far sight) and already knew how events unfolds, why No Face (Phantasmal King) doing it and all safety nets that been prepared for him before hand, so no he never was in real danger.
No Face having really long (ancient) track record of successfully maintaining world peace (unless other king interrupt and accidentally create Demon Lord) by any means necessarily. And even if other kings disagree with how she cleaned up the world no one can deny that her methods are effective. And in term of power she second only to Kuro (who weaker only to Shiro), i mean in her first meting she fighting against rest of the kings (minus Kuro) and Ein simultaneously until Kuro arrived. And she knew that his main love interest (Kuro as main heroine and Isis as best girl aka archangel) thus far and rest of strongest 'people' are ancient beings with A Lot of baggage behind them. As part of this baggage she wanted to ensure that he completely prepared to face them and solve it once and for all. He need to be able to conquer her trials to be allowed to pursue his romantic interest targets. And he won't be able to do it unless he get over his trauma that he bring from his childhood.
It was said by herself that - subordinate of Phantasmal King a granted certain amount of freedom. And certain mean GIGANTIC. There orders and there requests there are actual big difference between them. You allowed to refuse any request without any repercussion of what so ever (unlike real world ), she just find someone else to do instead. This is one of examples.Isn't it is stated before that illness is 1 of the phantasmal king underling? Why does she fight back now?
