I disagree on Seven Seas being good, they messed up on the most basic things like their names, at least the last time I checked, any idea if they fixed it?

I haven't read their translations for this particular series, I just know they're just one of the better official publishers along with YP and JNC. My main point really was that I hope we're not left hanging half way through an arc for months.

I quickly downloaded volume 8 and can confirm it still has liberally translated names (Like Kuro's nickname being based off English rather than romaji and Shiro's name being swapped with a Hebrew word), which is very unfortunate as it shows a lack of understanding of their target audience, but otherwise the translation is good.

After some discussion, it’s been decided that future releases will be handled by Flames. The reason there hasn’t been a recent release on Dex is due to me posting a chapter here. Usually, all Dex releases from Flames are managed by Mangadex admin.

Flames has recently faced quality issues due to a lack of proofreaders for story continuity, grammar, and other checks, and felt rushed after my release. I’ve communicated with a team member at Flames about this, so while I won’t be uploading as Noodle Dogs anymore, I’m here to support their future releases, either as a non-official helper, providing help with some of the translations, QC, et cetera, or as an official proofreader, whichever works👍

I won’t be finishing this arc/volume as Noodle Dogs, as continuing further would feel disrespectful to the original Dex scanlator, Flames. Adding more releases from my side could affect their quality and pacing, which isn’t fair to the team putting effort into this series.

For those wondering, my note on the first pages is genuine, written purely out of respect and gratitude. Some may be disappointed, others happy, but I hope any feedback here encourages positivity as we all enjoy the series—its humor, warmth, and bittersweet moments—together from now on, back then, tomorrow, till the end of the story.

Hopefully. My guess for the shortened chapter now is that either:

1. The mangaka is still adjusting their schedule after the long hiatus, which may explain the shortened chapter, or...
2. This is a buildup for what’s coming next, setting the tension for a full climactic reveal in the following chapter. (Light novel/web novel readers might know where this is going)

Yeah right mf literally thrown into this world blind, gets adopted by the literal God of underworld, fell with her then she suddenly vanished now you just throw the entire burden of losing that person and potentially other conflicts onto him, then now he's being kidnapped by some random shadow figure who seemingly has overwhelming power.
