What’s the point of this kidnapping, a trial by betrayal? I remember Kaito starting to question whether it was a test or not in Chapter 53, and I don’t think he’s supposed to think that way if it was a "real" test.

No harm—physical or mental—was inflicted. Heck, not even a two or three days passed before she showed up again to save him. In any case, I don’t think Kaito felt particularly betrayed by Alice, or rather, Phantasmal King.
