So basically I believe it is about something that Kaito need to face eventually, he kinda like stuck in the past, blaming himself for parents death even though he didn't caused it, was able to survive but not his parents etc

Shiro set up trial for Kaito to face, his past, his desire etc. while this was happening, people who like Kaito got misunderstood thinking Shiro is doing something danger to Kaito. So they and Kuro declare war on god realm to save Kaito.

I think this is probably what she referred to? That Abyss is kaito's past that he always stuck. I can't remember exactly details... It's been 3-4 years ..


Fun fact:
Kaito wasn't supposed to show up now, he was meant to show up 20 years later, being undercare by different Lord (not Lilia), they don't know what to do with him, he just shut himself in his room, depression etc..Instead of Kuro who found him. It was Shiro who did, and they did make relationship similar as we saw with Kuro/Kaito.

This was future Shiro saw 10k years ago, the reason it didn't happen and it happen early is due to Kuro constantly tamper summon magic circle hoping to meet destiny

Shit while I imagined one of the possibilities to be this. The second part mentioned leaves me with mixed feelings lol!! Why do I click button that shall never be clicked!!!

That's because kuro is author favorite character. Iirc it was mentioned somewhere in the afterword (??? And serious-senpai dialogue) that kuro is author favourite. Even iirc at 2nd popularity poll (1000th chapter celebration) was held with the top rank getting their own special chapter story. Kuro was ranked like 5, and thus the author decide to set the special story from top 5 so that kuro is included in it. Also if anyone curious about the final vote result:

He sure doesn't write like Kuro is his favorite. Every other character on that list has a more real relationship with him, including Makina who was introduced after the main story was complete iirc, both War King (who's name escapes me) and Lilywood both also had deeper relationships with Kaito than Kuro.

It's like the author wrote the plot outline, premise, and core characters, said "Kuro's going to be my favorite, so she's the main heroine" then as he wrote all the other characters he loved them more and fleshed them out to be really well developed, and then Kuro was just sidelined except for the single point of "she's the main heroine."

If you asked anyone who the main heroine was, most of them would point to Shiro, the duchess, or Isis. Some may consider Alice after her recent arc. I honestly believe very few would say Kuro without outside knowledge. She has 0 relationship with him outside of a few "bromance" level conversations
