To a certain extent, I feel the same - the main issue, I feel, is that she's technically not a sentient being in the same way as everyone else is, including the other Demon Kings. Wasn't she originally a literal force of nature that gained sentience over time?

Indeed she was. I don't think she really understands emotions like love and joy like the rest do

Not exactly, she’s a splinter of Shiro, although what you described is kind of true for her as well, she originally didn’t have emotions, but she acquired them over time, and now they’re both as empathetic as anybody.
